Our profile on http://www.storeboard.com

iBuyintheUSA.com was just recently launched 3 weeks ago. We are currently getting over 35,000 page views a day and we're rocking and rolling! We're super excited to change the way buyers and sellers pay fees, interact with other buyers and sellers online, and are able to post auctions.

Here's a few little tid bits about why we started iBuy.

My dad and I have been buyers, sellers, and flippers for a long time. Flippers in the buying and selling world pretty much buy something at a good cost and sell it for anywhere from 100% markup to sometimes 4,000% markup. This is something that runs in my family, my grandfather was a flipper for more than fifty years. So to say the least it runs in our blood.

Ebay? Now who hasn't heard of ebay? Anyone who has sold items on ebay have also experienced the high fees to list, high fees for photos, and high final price fees once you sell your item. So we got thinking one day and started asking people who sold on ebay how happy they were with site. We got a 95% negative response from sellers.
Why? Because they were paying anywhere from 10-30% of their total profits to ebay and paypal, they have to pay to list items even if they don't sell, and to top it off- they are BUYER PROTECTED. Does it say anything about protecting the Seller? Absolutely not! So a lot of times when the buyer is unhappy with an item, wants to scam someone or just plain wants to be a jerk, the Seller suffers.

Here's an example. One of our clients owns a resale shop. They are called Wise Buys. They sold a blackberry to phone to a buyer in South Africa. The buyer received the phone exactly as described, but was not happy that the Blackberry did not a slot for a sim card because the phone would not work with South Africa's phone services without one. That particular model of Blackberry was never made to have a sim card because of the carrier. So what happened? The buyer wanted a refund-for the phone AND the shipping. It was not cheap to ship it to South Africa. The shipping had already been paid to ship it there, now the Seller is having to lose money to pay to ship the phone back and give a refund?! Just because they did not want to jeopardize getting a negative comment on ebay.

Now you would think that the Seller is able to leave some kind of negative feedback for the Buyer. NOPE. You may only leave positive feedback. Duking it out with ebay about who's right is extremely difficult and unfair to the Seller.

So that is one of the main reasons we started iBuyintheUSA.com. We strongly believe that both parties NEED to be protected in transactions when shady people try and do business online. We're super excited about the progress we've made thus far and can't wait to see what 2012 is going to bring for our buyers and sellers!
